I've been operating at intersection of audio / technology / entertainment / art / business at various stages in my career ... working with people of all backgrounds and talents across Asia, Europe and North America. In addition to the creative side, I've held roles in product management, business development, partnerships, and strategy (including VP and C level roles).
Education Background:
- BS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from University of California San Diego (UCSD), w/emphasis on Machine Intelligence and a minor in Music
- Executive MBA from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA Anderson)
- Executive MBA from National University of Singapore (NUS), with additional classes in India and China

Part of a small team (about 20 of us) behind Tascam/Timeline’s digital recorders utilized at major film mixing stages, including Skywalker Sound, Fox, Disney, and Universal main mixing stages for feature films. I worked directly with facilities and also took on Product Management roles. Our team won the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Scientific & Technical Achievement Award

"golden ears" in development of surround audio codec (DTS-HD)
I spent multiple years at DTS (then Digital Theater Systems - founded by Steven Spielberg and Universal for Jurassic Park's launch) as the R&D lead and “golden ears” in charge of all subjective sound listening tests for DTS' codec (which ultimately ended up on every Sony Playstation3-4-5, and every Blu-ray disc player on the planet).

LAUNCH OF SURROUND AUDIO TECHNOLOGY TO STUDIOS WORLDWIDE
I wrote the PRD, led a multi-national team, and launched the surround audio authoring tech for Blu-ray Disc worldwide. Known as DTS-HD, it became the de-facto standard (90% market share) on Blu-ray disc by all major studios.
